Session 44: Task C: plan and prove subsystems
Learning outcomes
- Plan the vent controller with no pin or power conflicts
- Prove the DHT11, LDR, LCD, servo and button subsystems separately

- Uno, DHT11, LDR and 10 kΩ resistor, I2C LCD, servo, separate 5 V supply, push button, breadboard

Plan check
Check and initial each learner's criteria, IPO diagram, pin and power plan (A4/A5 reserved, servo supply) and BOM before wiring.

Prove each subsystem
Learners test each subsystem with its own short sketch and log the date and result: DHT11 readings, LDR day and night, LCD text, servo at 0° and 90° with the pulse width measured, and button presses.

Extension for fast finishers
Begin merging two subsystems with millis() scheduling.

Draft the merged sketch structure as functions.

- Initial log entries only when you have seen the subsystem working - criterion 2 is critical.
